Hey guys! Hope you all are doing well. I am doing great too, thank you! Today, I am going to do a product review on an amazing lip mask. It is on Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask. This product was recommended to me by my cousin who kept saying how soft and supple her lips became after using this. So, I decided to give it a try as my lips tend to get dry and chapped easily.
Price: I got this product for Rs.500 for 8g. It is a little pricey for a lip balm, but it does last for a long time. Plus, it’s worth it.
Packaging: I got the berry flavoured lip mask. The product comes in a small, pink tub container with a sturdy cap. The quality of the packaging is good, and it is travel friendly. There is no spatula with the 8g tub. They provide it only with the 20g one.
Smell and Texture: It has a very nice berry like smell that I really like. The product is light pink in colour and has a thick texture. I would say somewhere in between a heavy oil and a smooth lip balm. It does feel thick and moisturizing when you apply on lips and because of this, a small amount of product seems sufficient when you apply. It is available in many different flavours like grapefruit, apple lime etc.
Product Claims: This balm gently melts away the dead skin cells from the lips and makes the lip feel smooth, supple, and elastic. Laneige’s patented moisture technology helps skin absorb the ingredients densely into skin during 8 hours of sleep. You can get this product here.
It does not have sulphates, sls, sles, parabens or mineral oil. Nothing bad in it.
Usage: Apply a generous amount of this product on your lips before going to bed. Leave on overnight and gently wipe off remains in the morning.
I really like this lip sleeping mask. I have been using this for over a month now. Honestly, in the first 3 to 4 uses, I didn’t find any major differences. But with daily usage, I feel my lips have become much softer and more supple. The chapping of my lips has reduced a lot. I sometimes apply this in the mornings or any time of the day as a lip balm, though once a day is good enough. It does not tint the lips. What I like about this lip mask is that it actually moisturizes the lips as compared to other balms which only provide a thin barrier to retain moisture. Though I don’t find any product remaining on my lips when I wake up in the morning, my lips will be soft and moisturized. So, I know it works because otherwise my lips tend to be dry or flaky in the mornings.
- Makes lips smooth and supple
- Moisturizes and retains moisture
- Great smell
- Reduces chapping of lips
- There is no spatula to apply it with
- I usually don’t have much product left on lips when I wake up in the morning (not really a con)
It is a great product for those of you who are looking for a nice lip care routine to make lips softer. It works well on chapped lips. This balm helps in keeping my lips super moisturized.
