Hello and welcome back to my blog. I hope you all are having a nice week. With so many marriages and other small functions still going on amidst the pandemic, today’s post is about some of the trendy Indian function wear outfit ideas.
The common styles that you can see when you attend a function are sarees, lehengas and gowns. Although there are a lot of different Indian wear styles, people are usually reluctant to try new styles as they are not sure if it would suit them. But as you keep wearing the same styles, you tend to get bored and would want to try something new. So here are a few outfit ideas that you can wear to a marriage or any other function.
Must-have Ruffled skirts
Ruffled skirts are a great style upgrade from the traditional skirts, making it a great Indo-western wear. The ruffles range from multiple layers starting from your waist to your feet to a single cut at the the bottom of the skirt.
Sarees – Tassels, Ruffles, Dhotis and More
Sarees are my all-time favourite. They just make anyone look so elegant and beautiful. There are so many varieties of sarees that you can never run out of selection. Nowadays the cliché saree styles are changing and there are a lot of modern saree trends to follow.
Adding tassels to sarees can add to the beauty of the look. Tassels can be short and subtle to long and loud. Tassels can also be put just on the blouse to give it a stylish look.
Ruffles have also been introduced in sarees and they look great. Besides these, there are dhoti style sarees too. Peplum sarees have also come up and is in trend. Adding a belt to your waist is a good option, if you want to wear a saree the traditional way with a subtle change.
Why not a Peplum Lehenga or dhoti
If you are tired of wearing the same old style of lehenga and is looking for something new, try wearing a peplum top with your skirt. Peplum lehengas have come up and is in trend. Pairing a peplum top with a dhoti is another great and trendy option.
Simple yet Stylish Kurtis
With so many great styles coming up in kurtis, they are a great simple yet trendy function wear outfit that you can consider. Pairing cropped kurtis or kurtis tops that end above your knee with pant is another great style. Asymmetrical tops and sharara suits are also simple but good style choices.
Go Pakistani Style
I really like Pakistani kurtis and suit sets. There are a lot of varieties ranging from lawn suits to, embroidered sets to netted and beaded designs. These designs will definitely make you stand out from the crowd.
Shrug It Up
You can pair anything with a matching shrug to give it a trendy and stylish look. Wearing a nice beaded and sequenced shrug over a plain casual dress can turn it into a function wear outfit.
These are some of the simple yet stylish tending styles that you can choose to wear for a function, apart from the cliché gowns, sarees and lehengas.
